Originally from Cincinnati, Dr. Goel has a unique skill set spanning the
specialties of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain
After securing her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Goel went on to complete her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Tufts-New England Medical Center (Boston) and an Interventional Pain Management and Spine Fellowship in Anesthesia at UNC Medical Center (Chapel Hill).
When asked why she chose to pursue pain management, Dr. Goel stated, "It seemed like a logical extension of what I was working to achieve in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As a physician who is able to diagnose the source of my patient’s pain, recommend treatment plans and provide direction intervention when necessary, I can simply offer my patients more options."
At BNA NeuroSpine and Rehab, Dr. Goel coordinates the Pain Management program by providing medical management and performing interventional spine treatment, such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator trials, selective nerve root blocks and peripheral joint injections.
